The Big Island

We just returned from a trip to the Big Island where we had a fantastic time.  We rented a house south of Kailua, Hawaii in the Kona area for 10 days. Gran (Debby) was able to join us.  Most days we would head to a new beach to snorkel, swim, and play in the waves.  We drove to the other side of the island to visit the Volcano National Park where we hiked in the bottom of a recent caldera.  Amazing.  Andre made it 4 miles!!  Here are some pictures.

It's Fall!!

Fall is here!  We went from 90 degrees less than a month ago to cool crisp weather.  It has started to rain but we have had some really gorgeous days as well. 

We enjoyed a trip to the cabin with the Stone's a couple of weeks ago.  We all had such a great time!  We took the boat out for a quick tour around the island, roasted marshmallows in the fire pit, picked apples, celebrated Andrew's birthday, and went mushroom hunting.  Some pics are attached.

Last weekend the family visited a fall carnival at Remlinger Farms in Carnation, Washington.  Andre rode his first roller coaster and lots of other rides.  He LOVED it.
